Client Intake: AML Monitoring

Modified on Wed, 21 Oct at 12:33 PM

The AML Monitoring section allows users to review screening results and ongoing monitoring information for eligible contacts.

It covers:

  • PEP screening: Identifying potential matches to politically exposed persons.

  • Sanctions screening: Checking for potential matches against relevant sanctions lists.

  • Adverse media screening: Reviewing relevant negative news or media findings.

  • Fraud screening: Reviewing available fraud-related screening results.

  • Ongoing monitoring: Monitoring eligible contacts for relevant changes or new risk indicators.

How it works:

  1. Open the AML Monitoring section.

  2. Review the available screening results and monitoring information.

  3. Investigate potential matches or flagged findings as appropriate.

  4. Document or escalate findings according to your organisation's compliance procedures.

  5. Continue reviewing monitoring results when required.

Important: Only contacts who have passed identity verification (KYC) are monitored through AML Monitoring.

A potential screening match should be reviewed and assessed before drawing conclusions. A match does not automatically mean that a contact has engaged in unlawful activity.

Purpose: To help users identify and review potential financial crime risks and maintain appropriate monitoring of verified contacts.
